Saturday Wine Tastings

Each Saturday at 2:00 pm, we open four different wines and talk about them- where they come from, who makes them, and what makes them special. A couple of light hors d’oeuvres accompany the tasting and those who attend are eligible for discounts on the wines. Reservations are required, and web and email reservations will not guarantee you a seat, to please make your reservation by calling (520) 326-9363

Regional Rossos

Buon Giorno, Feastetti. This week Kevin pulls out four tasty Italian wines, each representative of their region.  They’re all red, they’re all food-friendly and they’re all delicious.  If you want to join us and taste them, plus have a couple of snacks and enjoy the company of like-minded wine sippers, bring $10 plus tax and […]

Old World Reds

Good Day, Feastlings. While there’s no shortage of Syrah from Washington, Malbec from Argentina, or Pinot Noir from the Central Coast, once in a while, it’s nice to remember where they hail from, so Kevin’s pulling out a handful of reds this weekend that are true to their Old World roots.  If you want to […]

Hello, Feastlings. For as many grape varietals as there are that crop up all over the world- and there are a lot of them- a number of them are grapes that appear in various climes under different monikers.  Some are easy to guess: Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are fairly obviously the same grape.  Grenache […]

“Beefy” New World Reds

Hello, Feastlings. This week, Kevin pulls out reds from up and down the Americas, all with a delightful heartiness that offers backbone and ageability. Guten Tag, Feastlings, This Saturday’s tasting is for those of you who find yourselves in a Teutonic mood.  Still, while Kevin is bringing one German wine (from one of my favorite vineyards, Ürziger Würzgarten,) the other three hail from Italy and France where they abut their Germanic neighbors.  They’ve got crisp acidity, some with abundant […]

The Seldom Seen Scene

Hello, Feastlings. While the last two Saturday tastings have been full up befire we even posted them on the website, this week’s tasting still has room in it, and in my humble opinion, it’s more exciting than either of the last two tastings.  Why?  Well, it’s composed entirely of wines you don’t get to taste […]
