Good day, Feastlings.
Thanks for all the kind wishes yesterday and this morning. And yes, it was discouraging, but for those of you who had a vengeful tone (I know I did when I got the email from the bank,) the best revenge is living well. And I’d add that equally good revenge is in living right. We’re going to do both over here. We’ll live well with the wine tasting that still doesn’t begin for a couple of hours, so there’s an opportunity for a last-minute jaunt to Feast to pick up samples for this thing:
and the Zoom information is here, if you’d like to attend:
Doug Levy is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.

We’re going to live right, on the other hand, by bringing meals to some of the health care workers who are, while not necessarily besieged by Covid patients, are besieged by the pandemic in rather a more indirect way:
If you think it doesn’t sound challenging to deal with people dealing with substance abuse and overdose issues, and mental health issues in general during what’s a tumultuous time for those of us fortunate enough NOT to be afflicted thusly, you’re a stronger person than I.
Lucky as I am not to be calling the Crisis Response Center myself, I’m not unaffected by this ongoing stressbomb, and I’ll be eating and drinking my way out of it. If you choose to handle it the same way, I enclose for your convenience a link to the eating part
https://www.eatatfeast.com/dining/menus/lunch-dinner/
and a link to the drinking part as well.
Stay very well, and I hope to see you on my laptop screen shortly.
Yours,
Doug
