Dear Feastlings,
We have a choice today: we can languish in this thick August heat, watching weeds push through the soil after our handful of rainy days left us wanting but energized that thin topmost layer of soil, or we can relax in air-conditioned comfort, sipping wine and tasting what the soils of lands near and far have offered us, from Bordeaux to Australia to Sonoita.
And we can do it in a few short hours. It’s soon enough that you can start getting excited about it, and far enough away that there’s time to give us a call at (520) 326-9363 and have us set aside some samples for you, so you can taste along with us. There’s room in the private dining room at Feast, and there’s infinite room in the Zoom universe, where you’re welcome to join us as well:

For fifteen dollars plus tax and tip, I’d all it a good value.
As long as I’ve got your attention, I’ll also post a link to our special Ferragosto menu,
which we’ll offer on one fleeting Sunday and then likely return, as with tomorrow, to keeping shuttered on Sundays as we continue our two steps forward/one step back routine of hiring new staff only to find them as capricious as the last person. I could get used to it and actually enjoy it if I won the lottery or found a suitcase full of cash, but until such time, I’m punching another hole in Feast’s belt and cinching it tighter in hopes of getting through an interminable summer.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll find a moment in your own interminable summer to treat yourself to something we do here, and provide a respite for us as well as for you and your loved ones. Give us a jingle, and know we look forward to seeing you soon.
Your languid summertime friend,
Doug
