Dear Feastlings,
As much as I was certain I’d send a chipper little note yesterday, it only took another afternoon of intermittently malfunctioning phone service and two snarky reviews from children to take the wind out of my sails and have me sending out yet another in a series of whiny emails. Today, though, I have a secret stratagem: I’ve written this email last night, and I’m setting it up to go out in the morning before anything else pricks my thin skin. So here it is, as of Friday night: your Saturday email. The primary reason any of you are even reading this, especially after yesterday’s diatribe, is just to get the information to log into today Zoom tasting, so let’s begin with that:

And there’s more: It turns out that Rosh Hashana falls on a Monday this year, and we’ll be closed, it being a Monday. Still, you’re welcome to pick up a few New Year’s dishes on Sunday, with heating instructions, if you’d like to kick off the Jewish New Year without having to cook and stress yourselves out during an already stressful year and a half.
I’m raising a glass to the whole lot of you, today at 2, tomorrow at 3:30, and on Rosh Hashana when I, like most of you, will be more than ready to put a(nother) rough year behind us all.
