Dear Feastlings,
Today’s the day. If you join us for the wine tasting- and there’s still time- you’ll get recommendations from four different people who know our wine list fairly inside-out. You’ll shoot the breeze with Kevin, Megan, Katherine and Doug as we agree, and agree to disagree, about something that’s really dear to all four of us: wine. Keep in mind: these of four out of nearly a thousand wines we have to offer here at Feast, but each of the four is a wine that one or more of us feels deserves some special attention- one that frequently gets passed over in favor of something more familiar, something that can be ordered with a nod between sentences as you catch up with friends, and you don’t even need to know who makes it. “I’ll have a glass of the Chardonnay,” you can say, and you never even have to miss a beat.
We’ll bring it, of course, and we’ll be happy to- people come to Feast for a broad spectrum of reasons, and socializing is every bit as valid as poring over the wine list. But today’s tasting is a tiny glimpse at what’s important to each of us (and all of us) running the wine program here at Feast, so it’ll be fun for that reason, and for the reason that you’ll sample wines that you’re not likely to find on many other lists here in Tucson, or anywhere else, for that matter.
