The hardest-working men and women in show business

Hello, Feastlings.
Well, it’s wine-tasting day, and by now you’ve come to expect a cavalcade of presenters- people chiming in from exotic locales all over the globe dropping in on Zoom to talk about their wines, the remote clinking of glasses, and a chat window filled alternately with questions and idle banter. Today, though, it’s Arizonans only- our friend Todd Bostock will be joining us to talk about his Pink, but evidently, everyone in the biz in California, Oregon and Washington are out celebrating the birth of our country all weekend long.

So you’re left with us- Doug, Kevin, and Katherine behind the scenes- the James Browns of wine, not in that we’re all that entertaining, but sticking to the Hardest-working Man In Show Business ethic established by the Godfather of Soul himself. There’s still time to pick up your samples, return to air-conditioned comfort and join us on the screen as we talk about these wines and why they belong in your growing wine library. Here’s a little blurb about the tasting,

Red, white and rosé can you see…

here’s a quick link to it,

and here’s a link to one of my favorite James Brown clips of all time.

It makes me realize the importance of owning a cape, if nothing else. And a houndstooth vest.

I’ll also remind you here of the 50th anniversary and benefit dinner we’re doing with Mobile Meals of Southern Arizona,

Here, there and everywhere: Mobile Meals 50th anniversary dinner

and the yet-to-be-posted menu for Bastille Day, when we’ll offer all of our French wines at retail pricing (corkage-free!) alongside an assortment of French specials. More on that soon.

Meanwhile, we’ll be closed tomorrow to celebrate our nation’s independence with our own friends and families, but back at it come Tuesday with a bunch of new additions to the July menu (here’s one last look at the menu before it changes- come grab some of those crispy shrimp while you still can,)

and if you watch your inbox next Tuesday, those new treats will find their way into it.. Have a safe holiday filled with whatever it is you’re looking for: relaxation, friends, family, spectacle, grilled goodies, or a moment of gratitude. Or a little James Brown.

Happy Independence Day, everyone.

Love,
The ragtag band of independent folk at Feast
