#digitalwineresearch

Hi, Feastlings.

If there’s one thing that this whole virus scare has taught me, it’s that we all need to help each other as best we can.  Our friends/neighbors/objects of our admiration are doing a project called #digitalwineresearch, and we’re here to help.  At 6:00 pm on Friday, March 27, Todd Bostock of Dos Cabezas Wine Works and Kent Callaghan of Callaghan Vineyards will lead a tasting and discussion of Callaghan’s 2017 Rhumb Line Vineyard Grenache and 2015 Dos Cabezas El Norte, a Rhône-style blend.  You can still get on the Dos Cabezas website and order the wines and find links to the Zoom tasting here:

But if you’re worried about getting the wine in time for the event, we’ve got a few bottles of each on hand as I write this on Wednesday the 25th, and another case of each arriving Thursday the 26th as a backup, in plenty of time to catch our neighborhood winemakers chatting it up about their wines and whatever else they end up discussing.

What’s more, we’re preparing a dish we’re convinced will go swimmingly with the wines, so on Friday you can either pick up or have delivered some penne pasta with gingered duck confit, Oyster mushrooms from our mycologist friend at the U of A, Dr. Barry Pryor, and some arugula and radicchio in a reduction of chicken broth and cream Sherry.  We know you’re not likely going out on Friday, so it might be nice to at least feel like you’re going out, even whilst staying in.
