Sunday Wine Tastings

Our Sunday wine tastings only occur on the last Sunday of each month, at 3:30 pm. Unlike our Saturday tastings, there are six wines rather than four, the wines have a broader range of quality and price, and each wine is accompanied by an amuse-bouche that’s specially made to compliment the wine. Again, reservations are required, and web and email reservations will not guarantee you a seat, to please make your reservation by calling (520) 326-9363.

Past Sunday Wine Tasting

Greece and Turkey

Dear Feastlings, People often think of France as wine’s home, and of ancient Rome as wine’s birthplace, but they forget that it was Greeks who brought viticulture to Italy.  This month, we’ll open up six wines from Greece and Turkey, and it’s an exciting opportunity: You’ll taste varietals you seldom see in the U.S., from […]

Dear Feastlings, There’s wine, and then there’s wine.  Sure, there’s that tasty twelve-dollar bottle- the blend of Zinfandel and Syrah and Sangiovese that was basically the leftover odds and ends that a winemaker threw together to make palatable and keep from wasting any of the juice left after the more important single-varietal bottlings, and there’s […]

Border Towns

Dear Feastlings, Living only an hour from Mexico, we’re all familiar with the cross-cultural experience that happens when neighbors look over one another’s fence (no pun intended).  This Sunday, Sami Owchinko joins us to extol the virtues of the wine regions influenced by their next-door neighbors.  Each of the wines she’ll be bringing share a […]

Erste + Neue with Vince Parrot

Dear Feastlings, Twenty-six years ago, when I found myself in Florence (Italy, not Arizona), unable to get a work permit, I enrolled myself in a language school in hopes of not only learning Italian, but sticking around until I could qualify for a permit.  While the permit never came, school was fantastic, and among my […]

Dos Cabezas with winemaker Todd Bostock

Good day, Feastlings, Do you know Todd and Kelly Bostock?  They’re your neighbors, just down the road in Elgin, and as luck would have it, they’ve got vineyards chockablock with fruit, and apart from being excellent viticulturists, Todd’s also an impressive winemaker with a talent for blending.  If you haven’t tasted Arizona wines for a […]

April’s Last Sunday Tasting: Rhônes of our Own

Good day, Feastlings, While we here at Feast enjoy wines of all stripes, if I had to choose specific varietals to be in the running for Staff Favorites, it would have to be the varietals who spring from the Rhône River Valley.  With such a broad spectrum of styles and textures, we’re smitten with the […]

Trust Your Importer-Marc DeGrazia

Precious Feastlings, Ever on our quest to get people to try new wines with more confidence, we still occasionally feature an importer for one of our wine tastings. We figure that once you get comfortable and learn to trust an importer, it’s a little less scary to spend a few extra dollars on a heretofore […]

Juan-y One Note

Queridos Feastitos, True, for those of us who don’t live in Spain or its environs, it’s easy to default to Rioja when we think of Spanish wine. It’s certainly a prolific region, and an age-old producer of excellent wine, but it turns out that Spain is a varied place, with a lot more to offer […]

Staff Picks

Hi there, Feastlings. It turns out that while there are a cool half a dozen of us who can help you navigate your way through the wine list, there are three of us who ultimately make the decisions about what we offer here, whether it’s in the shop or on the wine list.  And between […]
