The summer around here is, well, let’s say it’s lacking. Hot and tedious as summer in Tucson can be, we try to create the occasional reason to leave the house, as you know. In June, it was las Hogueras de San Juan. In July, it was Bastille Day. In August, we tip our cappelli to Italy (and before the emails come, capelli are hairs; cappelli are hats.) While Ferragosto itself falls on the 15th of August, we learned our lesson on Bastille Day and figured it would be easier to gauge what was going to be ordered over the course of two days than on just a single day, so we’ll be celebrating on both the 14th and the 15th. In addition to our August menu, we’ll be serving these Italian specialties, and every Italian wine on the list will be offered at retail rather than restaurant pricing. That means a $15 savings on bottles and an $8 savings on half bottles of every wine that hails from Italy.
