Dear Feastlings,
I don’t know about you, but it’s difficult for me to tire of Italian wine. As a general rule, they come from a culture that makes wine that’s meant to pair with food, so in broad strokes, Italian wines immediately have something in common. On the other hand, Italy is composed for former city-states with different cultures, different topography and different climate, geology, varietals and soils, so there’s a massive spectrum of wines and styles- nearly a thousand Italian varietals, each with its own regional influences. So we thought that as we inch our way toward Ferragosto, we would, as we did last week, offer up a mere four Italian wines for you to wrap your palates around. This Saturday, August 5, at 2:00, our buddy Megan comes back to shoot the breeze about everything from Gavi to Ciró, with some Langhe and Sicilia tucked in between. It’s only $15, plus tax and tip, to taste your way through the boot again this weekend and leave with some helpful info in your pocket and some tasty wines in your belly.
Give us a call at (520) 326-9363 to make your reservation, and we’ll taste all manner of delicious wines as we continue to prepare for Ferragosto.
