Dear Feastlings,
You’ve joined us for the Hogueras de San Juan in June, and for Bastille Day in July; why wouldn’t you join us for Ferragosto come August? Whether you regard it a a fair for Augustus Caesar or a celebration of the Assumption of Mary, or just the day that every Italian scampers to the coast to don a Speedo and wander around with a gelato in hand, we’ll be celebrating the way we usually do: we’ll make a bunch of Italian specials that we’ll serve alongside our regular menu all day long, and we’ll waive the corkage on every Italian bottle of wine in the house, so you’ll be drinking better stuff than usual, or saving more than usual. We know neither one is quite the same as wandering a boardwalk on the Italian Riviera in your Speedo, but frankly, I’d prefer the wine to the wander. It takes place on Tuesday, August 15, for both lunch and dinner, and you can start considering your options now. Here’s the menu:
