Dear Feastlings,
As limited as our traveling has been, it’s no surprise that we’re champing at the bit to head out to exotic locales, but it’s also no surprise that we can’t all just pull up stakes and make our way across the world when the spirit moves us. That’s where the wine tastings come in. Sometimes, travel takes place without ever leaving the comforts of home, via literature or music, dance or visual art, or our favorite: food and drink. This Saturday, we’ll be taking a voyage that includes various and sundry parts of the Mediterranean- the Ligurian Sea, the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Adriatic and the Ionian (or the Aegean, depending on where you’re approaching from.) It’ll be an outright Wine Odyssey.
Whatever the case, as we hopscotch across the varied wine countries of the broader region, we’ll zero in on four locales to see what they’re up to in each one, and the results promise to be delicious. Lash yourself to the mast if you need to resist this tasting’s siren’s song, but if you’re joining us, either in person or remotely, bring $15 plus tax and tip and we’ll set aside a set of samples for you to enjoy as we chat it up with experts on the various regions and their wines. The fun starts at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, and you can hold a set of samples by calling us at 326-9363.
THE TASTING BEGINS ON ZOOM AT 2:00 PM ON SATURDAY, MARCH 19. THE ZOOM MEETING NUMBER FOR THE TASTING IS 840 6914 5849, AND THE PASSCODE is 000485.
You can find the tasting order and the pricing here.
