Dear Feastlings,

Perhaps you remember a wine tasting we did a couple of months ago where we learned about oak influence- French oak, Hungarian, American, light toast, heavy toast, first use and second use, and so on- so this week, we’re going to taste some of the various influences that other types of aging can offer.  Stainless steel can have every bit as much influence on the outcome of a wine as oak does.  Ditto concrete, or clay amphorae.  So Saturday we’ll be tasting four unoaked wines side by side and talking about how the winemaker’s choices affect the wine in your glass.  The tasting is $15 plus tax and tip, and you can pick up your samples on Thursday or thereafter.  Call us at 326-9363 to order your set of samples, and then tune in to join us on Zoom this Saturday, August 21, at 2:00 pm.  See you there.

The tasting begins on zoom at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 21.  The Zoom meeting number for the tasting is 812 4839 1422, and the passcode is 866096.

You can find the tasting order and the pricing here: no oak no joke!!
