Dearest Feastlings,
I have no idea what “let’s CHARD away” means, but even without knowing, it’s abundantly clear that this Saturday’s tasting will be composed entirely of Chardonnay. Now, before you do that thing that periodically frustrates us in the restaurant business- you know, the one where you say “I just don’t like Chardonnay,” even though Chardonnay is vinted in a host of styles, both with and without oak, some full-bodied and some lean, some in chalky soil and some in volcanic, some fruity and some dry- just consider tasting one varietal from four different places in the world, some in the Old World and some in the New, all with different influences, and see if you think one or more merits some refrigerator space with you this summer. The tasting is on Saturday, June 8, at 2:00 pm, and for $12.50 plus tax and tip, you get sips and bites and knowledge, which of course is priceless. Reservations are a must and web and email reservations won’t hold you a seat, so call us at 326-9363 to guarantee yourself a place at this event. We hope you can join us.
