Hello, Feastlings.
This week’s wine tasting is another in a series designed to get you to turn the bottle around when you don’t recognize the producer, and put your trust in the importer. Jorge Ordóñez was the first broker in the US to establish a refrigerated warehouse in Spain and to demand refrigerated transportation to the US. And while the quality of Spanish wines has dramatically increased as a result, Spain remains one of the best wine values out there- the wineries remain in the same hands for generations, and the longer they do, the more their overhead decreases, and that means very affordable wines of excellent quality.
Our pal Mike joins us this week, passing the torch to our new buddy Caitlin, with both of them talking about the wines of the Ordóñez portfolio, and you’ll get the customary 10% discount on bottles and 15% discount on mix-and-match cases. If you’d like to join us, call and reserve your seat at the table at (520) 326-9363, and then arrive at 2:00 pm this Saturday, October 17th. It’s $20 plus tax and tip, and we’d love to see you.
