Dear Feastlings,
We’re acutely aware that Father’s Day invariably pales in comparison to Mother’s Day, but the fact is we’re in Tucson, and as such, the trope of firing up the grill and having a Father’s Day cookout holds virtually no appeal whatsoever.
We know it won’t be busy like Mother’s Day, but just in case you don’t feel like spending the day hunched over a hot grill while it’s already 108 degrees outside, we’ll open the doors to our air conditioned slice of celebration on Sunday, June 21st. If there’s a dad in your life that you want to treat to something special, we’ll be here for you, and in addition to our regular menu, we’ll be offering some Father’s Day specials. Here’s the menu:

Elvis waffle~
Waffle with peanut butter, bacon and bananas. Served with real maple syrup.

Eggs Benedict~house-made English muffin with poached eggs, ham and sauce Hollandaise. Served with sautéed spinach and crispy potatoes.

Lobster Thermidor~
A ten- to twelve-ounce North Atlantic lobster tail, served in its shell with sauce Bechamel, Cognac and Gruyere cheese. Served with sauteed asparagus and roasted potatoes.

Cocoa-rubbed back ribs~ half a rack of back ribs rubbed with cocoa, garlic, anise and cumin. Served with spicy chicken-fried cauliflower and apple-cabbage slaw.
