Ah, Feastlings,
Pinot, the kids might say, is a spectrum. Yes, there’s Pinot Noir, of course, but a host of other varietals fall under Pinot’s genetic heading: Chardonnay, as it happens, is technically Pinot Chardonnay, and Pinot Auxerrois is the more accurate description of Auxerrois. There’s Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, there’s Pinot Meunier, and there are even more obscure Pinots out there- Pinot Gouges, for example, and Pinot Teinturier. While we can’t always get our hands on the more esoteric varietals, or they’re perhaps too pricey for a regular Saturday tasting, we thought this would be a great week to taste an assortment of wines that fall under the Pinot umbrella.
Our relatively new friend Emily, not to be confused with Emilie, will be here this Saturday, May 16th, with some red, white and vaguely pink versions of Pinot, and we’d love to have you join us. The tasting costs $20 plus tax and tip, and you can reserve a seat by calling us at (520) 326-9363. Then join us at 2:00 pm this Saturday the 16th, ready to taste Pinots of various stripes.
