Dear Feastlings,
Scarcely do I write you all a note on a Thursday evening, but enough of you mention to me that you heard a couple of the monthly menu items mentioned on KUAT or NPR that I thought I should dash off this note. Yes, there’s a wine tasting on Saturday that fluctuates between being full up and then only nearly full as people cancel or change their plans, so I’ll throw that out there as long as I’ve got your attention,
but really I’m writing to tell you that if you’re one of those people who occasionally donates their spare change to Arizona Public Media, I’m one of those people who occasionally goes down to the studio and reminds people how important public radio is to our community. As one such person, I’ll be bringing a couple of gift certificates with me tomorrow morning, and anyone who calls while I’m there tomorrow will be entered into a drawing to win one of them.
My point, therefore, is that if you support them anyway, why not win lunch dinner or a bottle of wine or three? I’ll be on from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, and if I can scramble over early enough, maybe Al Birch will let me make a pitch during the 8:00 hour as well. But no promises. Anyhow, I look forward to chiming in if you’re listening, to clinking a glass if you’re here for the tasting, and just to saying hello if you drop by any other time. Thanks, everyone.
