Morning rituals, interrupted

Dear Feastlings,

Saturdays for the past couple of years have found me going through ritualized motions: a buddy bike ride, a leisurely coffee, and then plunking myself down to send reminder emails to presenters and guests alike for the Zoom wine tasting.

Today will be our second in-person-only Saturday tasting, and there’s still time to reserve a seat and a glass if you’re so inclined- give us a buzz at (520) 326-9363 and we find a spot for you so you can explore the far corners of France from a vitis vinifera standpoint,

France, featured

all under the tutelage of former Feast wine director and continuing Feast Friend and Family, Megan Nelson. $15 plus tax and tip will get you a private audience full of factoids and delicious wine, so if you’d like to join us, let us know and then show up at 2:00 this afternoon with your tasting shoes on.

So I’m already here- historically I’ve been emailing from home before I come in- but today I met my new friend Perla from KGUN news, who’s doing a story on how Sonoran Restaurant Week has gone for the 110 participating restaurants, and to remind Tucsonans that, while we at Feast are still closed on Sundays, you can find any number of restaurants who are open and offering Restaurant Week deals. You’ll find your options here:

And, of course, you’ve still got tonight to come join us at Feast and save a few bucks. If you don’t want to wade through the other 109 restaurants’ menus to see what we’re doing, it’s here:

I like not having to scramble every Saturday morning and worry about the presenters in far-away places not replying to my emails, but by now you know I have a penchant for sending emails, so here’s a quick Saturday missive, which may or may not become ritualized over the next few months.

We look forward to seeing you here, sooner or later.

Love,

Doug
