Dear Feastlings,
There are timeless appellations in the wine world: Barolo. Chambolle-Musigny. Heck, Napa. But as wine production continues and new vineyards are planted, subtle distinctions reveal themselves over the vintages. Maybe there’s a soil type that peters out as a new one begins, or a wind that kicks up at night. Whatever the case, geography makes for a distinction that hadn’t previously been noted, there’s some lobbying and reasoned arguments are made, and eventually, lines are drawn and there’s suddenly a new appellation. This week, our friend Jessica joins us with four wines from more recently delineated appellations, and we’ll learn what exactly it is about these spots that makes them special.
You know how this works: Call us at (520) 326-9363, reserve a seat, and show up on Saturday, December 6th, with $18 plus tax and tip in your hand, ready to taste and learn. We’d love to have you with us.
