Dear Feastlings,
Being, as we are, people who live near a border, we understand that there are cultural differences on either side of the arbitrary line that splits our two countries, but likewise we’re aware of the influences our communities have on one another. This week, Our buddy Bryan joins us to explore the differences and similarities between a pair of whites and a pair of reds that come from either side of a different border: the one between Austria and Italy.
Mind you, that border has moved before and there’s no guarantee it won’t ever move again, but where it’s landed now gives us two wines from Austria this Saturday, and two from Alto Adige, or, if you’d rather, Sudtirol. Either way, the whites are crisp and fresh, and the reds are light and easy, and we’d love to have you with us at the tasting.
It begins at 2:00 pm this Saturday, October 11th. All you’ll need to do to secure your seat at the tasting table is to give us a call at (520) 326-9363. Then show up on Saturday with $18 plus tax and tip, and learn a little something, taste a little something, and pretend you’re high in the Alps, roasting chestnuts and drinking Schiava. See you soon.
You can see the tasting order and pricing of the wines here.
