Insoliti

Dear Feastlings,

Last week, our wine tasting featured various wines of Italy.  This week?  Italy again.  Why, you ask?  Because it’s nearly Ferragosto, and what better way to whet your appetite for Italian goodness than Italian wines?  Last week, it was Rob, and this week, our friend Emilie stops in with some more economical choices.  The tasting, then, is back to its customary $18 plus tax and tip, and there’ll be no food pairings this week.  If it’s food and drink you’re looking to combine, join us on Friday, August 15th for a day of specials- Italian food, lovingly prepared, and Italian wines at unreasonably low prices.  We’ll be serving our special menu all day long, in addition to our regular August menu, which, incidentally, will have a few Italian-influenced dishes on it as well.

And while last Saturday was chockablock with the varietals we expect from Italy, this week, they’re a bit more off the beaten path.  Prepare to taste some of the varietals you expect from Italy, but a number of which you probably haven’t had from Italy recently.  Or ever.

If you’re thinking about joining us, a reservation is a good plan.  You can

a) call us at (520) 326-9363 to make your reservation;

b) show up this Saturday, August 2nd, at 2:00 pm with a thirst for wine and education;

c) bring along $18 plus tax and tip, plus a little pocket money for the discounted wines you’re about to fall in love with.
