Dear Feastlings,
The end of the month fast approaches, and that means an end-of-month wine tasting. Fancy as our EOM tastings can be, wine has gotten pricey, so we can’t always offer up everyone’s flagship wine. It turns out, though, that wineries who make the finest wines make other wines as well. For example, I just looked up Bruno Giacosa’s Falletto Barolo, which can be had for a mere $439 plus tax and shipping,

but we’ll be pouring the more modestly priced Nebbiolo d’Alba from the same winery. It’s nice to find out what a more affordable wine can taste like from the hands of a fancy-pants producer.
This Saturday, our friend Jennifer joins us with four wines from producers who make much sought after wines, but who also make wines that plebes like you and I can afford. In the interest of keeping our tastings from costing you a couple hundred dollars, we’ve elected to pour their “lesser” wines, but quite frankly, we think they’re still an excellent value for the price. If you’d like to join us, give us a call at (520) 326-9363 and we’ll save you a seat. The tasting, rather than costing into the triple digits, will be $50 plus tax and tip, and will begin at 2:00 pm this Saturday, May 31st. We’d love to see you.
Lesser is morer
