Dear Feastlings,
Not to speak ill of Napa or Bordeaux, but it’s nice to see, amid the secrecy and isolation one sees in some winemaking regions, the neighborly spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Washington and Oregon, besides being neighbors themselves, foster a sense of all being in it together, and it makes for some pretty delicious wine.
This week, our friend Chris will be here with four wines- two from Oregon and two from Washington- and you won’t find a more neighborly sort than Chris. We’ll learn about the regions and the wineries, and we’ll taste a broad spectrum. The tasting begins on Saturday, May 3, at 2:00 pm, and costs $18 plus tax and gratuity. You can make a reservation by calling us at (520) 326-9363, and taste your way through a Pinot Gris, a Roussanne, a Pinot Noir and a Merlot, all of which boast a significant northwestern terroir. Come check it out.
You’re welcome and encouraged to attend.
