Oh, Feastlings,
How is it that it could snow here twice in only the past couple of weeks, and all of a sudden, it’s eighty degrees outside? I do flinch a bit at the idea of summer already looming, but it’s also nice to have a reason to taste a bunch of fresh, crisp whites. Sauvignon Blanc hails from France, of course, but this week, we’ll be tasting from the Sauvignon Blanc diaspora: our friendly white grape is grown in every corner of the earth, so we’ll be tasting Sauvignon Blanc from Austria and from Italy, from New Zealand and from California. Old World, New World- we’ll be tasting a broad interpretation of the grape from near and far.
Our buddy Mike Galkin will be here, likely with maps in hand, to show you what’s going on in the world of Sauvignon Blanc, the curious fresh white parent of great big hearty Cabernet Sauvignon. The tasting begins at 2:00 on Saturday the 18th, and like most of our Saturday tastings, it will only set you back a mere $15 plus tax and tip. We’ll happily save you a seat if you call us at (520) 326-9363 and ask us to.
You can find the tasting order and pricing here.
