Dear Feastlings,
Long has Piedmont been the jewel in Italy’s Wine Crown- Barolo and Barbaresco are, despite the quality and notoriety of Montalcino and Chianti Classico, generally regarded as the most noteworthy and prestigious of Italian wines. They’re also- well, let’s call them Not Inexpensive. This week, we’ll open up four wines that show you what’s so great about Piedmont that is affordable- affordable enough to drink on a Tuesday night without the repercussions of guilt and buyer’s remorse. Mike Galkin joins us with four wines from the portfolio of The Piedmont Guy, an importer we love who brings in wines of- and only of- Piedmont. We’ll taste two whites and two reds, we’ll talk about the region, the importer and the wines themselves, and we’ll have a pretty doggone good time.
If you’ve been out of touch with us, you may not yet have heard that our Saturday wine tastings are back to 100% in-person events now, and you can experience one in the private dining room this Saturday, September 24. The tasting begins at 2:00 pm, and for $15 plus tax and tip, you’ll get some delicious wine and a glimpse of some of the great wine values to be found in the Piedmont.
You can reserve your seat by calling us at (520) 326-9363.
