Another donation run (or two) to our hard-working front-line friends

Hello, Feastlings.

Without going into too much detail, the Pima County Recorder’s Office, after some back-and-forth, has declined our offer of food for a smattering of reasons, none of which should be gone into at this juncture, but all of which make sense.  As a result, we’re already well along on our next donation run, this one to the staff of CODAC.  CODAC offers a veritable smorgasbord of services to the community, for everyone you can think of- women, men, children, the LGBTQIA+ community and families who are an assortment of the aforementioned.  Helping people with a range of challenges from drug and alcohol use to sexual assault (we had to shelve Dine Out for Safety this year because, well, one couldn’t safely dine out) to crisis and transitional care.  And primary care, therapy and employment aid to boot.  If you think these people aren’t stretched to their limits during this pandemic, think again.  We’ve already got some of the meals we’ll bring that we’re diverting from the Recorder’s Office planned donation run, but in the process of pivoting, we’ve picked up another hundred and thirty two mouths to feed, so we’re again turning to you and the people you know to help with a hundred or so of those meals, and we’ll throw in the balance to do our part.  Want to know more about everything they do at CODAC?  Here you go:

Call 326-9363 to donate meals- you’ll be helping not only the staff of CODAC, but the staff of Feast will have a few more hours to work thanks to you, and will be able to put food on their tables as well.  Don’t want to call with a credit card number?  You can mail or drop off a check at 3719 E. Speedway, Tucson, AZ 85716.  Just make sure you write “front line workers” on the memo line.
