Our next hospital donation run- nights and weekends

Hello, Feastlings.

Next week, on Friday, August 28th, we’re making another run to the hardworking staff at the VA Hospital to bring meals to the hungry, hard-working front line workers there taking care of the veterans in the Tucson area in what hopefully is no longer the midst but rather the slowing of the pandemic.  I talked to my friend Mandy over there, who heads up Voluntary Service, and we’ve agreed that the thrust of this donation run will be to feed the staff who are so often neglected when someone donates food: the people who work nights and weekends.  We’re packing the meals in cryovac to make them hold up long enough to get to their destined recipients, and we’re doing the the way we’ve come to do it every time: once we’ve gotten 250 meals donated, we’ll throw in 50 more to do our part for the community.  Any donations that surpass our goal will be applied to the next delivery run, but for now, our goal is 250 meals.  You’re welcome and encouraged to donate anything from a single cookie to a full meal, or simply call with a donation of whatever dollar amount you want to contribute.  Every penny helps, and in the interest of full disclosure, you’re helping the crew here at Feast by helping the crew at the VA hospital.  That is, you’re donating meals that keep our staff employed in the process of helping the front line worker community.  When I hear back from Mandy with her list of which departments we’re feeding next week, I’ll post it here, but in the meanwhile, here are the dishes we’ll be sending, and you can choose from this, or, as I mentioned, just pick a dollar amount to donate.  You can make your donation by calling us with a credit card number at (520) 326-933, or you can mail or drop off a check, made out to Feast, with “hospital donation” written in the memo line.  Our mailing address is 3719 E. Speedway, Tucson, AZ 85716.  We’ll be taking donations for this one up through Thursday, the 27th, at 7:30 pm.  Here’s who we’ll be feeding:
