After no small amount of cutting through extensive ribbons of red tape, this week’s donation run is going to firefighters throughout the Rural Metro fire stations as well as the Rincon Valley Fire District. At this point, we’re going out on Wednesday, July 1, and feeding 182 firefighters, but I was that annoying kid who always did the extra credit, so I’m still looking for a few more fire stations to deliver to, be they TFD or from outlying areas. I’m still working on it, so we’ll likely be adding more meals, but if you’d like to donate, the information is below. Any money raised that surpasses our goal will be rolled over and applied to our next donation run, and we’ll be going back to our ever-busier hospitals.

Coq au Vin~ chicken braised in red wine with bacon, mushrooms and onions. Served with buttered new potatoes and haricots verts. §
Grilled pork loin, served with lemon-horseradish butter, house-made sauerkraut, smoked plums and bacon fat new potatoes. * ◊ §
