Hello, Feastlings.
Wine fashions change frequently- It used to be that everyone wanted Burgundy. Then it was Merlot. There were years where Aussie wines were the only thing people wanted to drink, and then Pinot Noir dominated the scene. Now there’s Malbec, and natural wine is making some headway. But we at Feast always fall deeply for a classic grape of the Rhone: we love you, Syrah.
Since it’s often misunderstood, it’s not often ordered these days, but Kevin figured it’s all the more reason to get four delicious Syrahs in front of you, all at once. This Saturday we’ll be offering Syrah from the North and South of California, and from the East and the West of France. The tasting runs the customary ten dollars plus tax and tip, and the wines will have a little snack alongside them. If you’d like to join us, reservations are a must, but only the old-fashioned, pick-up-and-dial reservations, as we won’t be accepting web or email reservations for this or any wine event. The number to call is 326-9363.
