Dear Feastlings,
Some of us here at Feast love Pinot Noir; others find it unremarkable. There are Cabernet lovers, Muscadet lovers- every wine here has a cheerleader, but also a detractor. The exception? Well, we all love Rhônes. We love the reds. We love the whites. We love the Old World versions and their New World counterparts. This Saturday, Kevin pulls the corks and unscrews the caps (yes- French wine with screwtops!) of four Rhône and Rhône-style wines. The tasting, as usual, is $10 plus tax and gratuity, complete with snacks and a discount on the wines, and can only be reserved by phone or in person. Sorry, web and email reservations won’t work. What’s more, even though the wines are already discounted, you can use them as building blocks for our summertime special. Normally, we offer a ten percent discount on a mix-and-match case (12 bottles), but through Labor Day, we start that discount- on bottles not already on sale- at 6 bottles. So you can buy two bottles from the tasting, already discounted, and add four more and take 10% off those bottles as well. Please call us at 326-9363, and we’ll hold a place for you at the tasting, this Saturday, August 1, at 2:00.
