As days go, we’re okay with today.

Dear Feastlings,

Taxing as tax day may be, we’ve got something of a spring in our step today here at Feast. The morning’s been cool and refreshing, and the restaurant is fairly abuzz today, it being Dine Out for Safety today, where a dozen and a half restaurants donate a chunk of their sales to the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault. We’re one of them, and here’s a link to some others in case you’d like to find a spot that’s closer to you, or at a different price point, or a place that your uncle likes too.

Twenty percent of our sales today will got to SACASA, so you can do something nice for yourself and for someone else at the same time.

Also, in the continued spirit of do-gooderism, we’ll be taking your contributions and combining them with ours for another load of donated meals to GAP ministries, where the offer freebies and affordable foodstuffs to people experiencing food scarcity for four days each week. This week we’re a bit short-handed and long on catering obligations, so we’ve had to postpone our donation run until next week, but we’ll be there with meals aplenty.

In the meantime, we continue with our customary events- our wine tasting this Saturday is loaded with springtime treats,

Spring a ding ding

and we’ve got another wine dinner on the horizon with our longtime friend Greta Arendsen, a dinner chockablock with Portuguese delicacies:

Quinta do Vallado dinner with Greta Arendsen

Hot on its heels will be Mother’s Day, another Sunday that we open up just for you and a mom in your life who’s important to you. That menu will be posted soon, but for now we just need to get back to work. More soon. Really.

Love,

Doug
