Dear Feastlings,
I’ve fallen victim to some early April Fool’s Day shenanigans, or rather, Giovanni Triscornia has. I mentioned in the last email (and a few dozen times in person to those of you who’ve been in recently) that Giovanni, of Ethica Imports, would be in town on April first with a bunch of Italian wines for which we’d make a bunch of food pairings, and an enjoyable dinner would be had by all. Turns out he was double-booked. Not to be dissuaded, we’ve found a new date to hang out with Giovanni and taste a lot of delicious Italian wine and accompanying food: April 14th. To those of you who’d already made plans to join us on the first and do something equally important elsewhere on the 14th, I extend my own apologies and Giovanni’s as well; we hope you’re able to join us on the 14th instead.
There’s also still room in to come in this Wednesday, the 11th, when you’ll be able to meet Mark Vlossak, and, as importantly, taste his exceptional Pinot Noirs, plus his sparkling Pinot Blanc and his Chardonnay, which I’d put up against any white Burgundy in its price range or even higher. The menu, if you’re interested, looks like this,
and we still have half a dozen seats or so available. We’ll be posting a menu for Giovanni’s dinner soon as well, along with an Easter menu (yes, we’ll open on a Sunday for that one,) and next week I’ll go back to stuffing your inboxes at the normal rate. See you soon.
Doug
