Dear Feastlings,
The office at Feast knows it’s Holiday Season. The desk I cleared off only two weeks ago now fairly buckles under the weight that’s recently been added: extra silverware to replace what’s fallen into trash cans or slipped behind counters; the water filters that just arrived so that our coffee doesn’t taste like the handle of a faucet; and stacks of notes for food pairings, wine tastings, dinners and holiday menus.
Moved from the “notes” clump to the “barely complete” pile now is the Christmas carryout menu, from which you can now order. We’ve tinkered with it a bit each year, but discovered last year that duck is significantly more popular than goose ever was, and consequently, we’ll be offering duck again. And, of course, Beef Wellington. The entire menu can be found here,
https://www.eatatfeast.com/events/2025/12/how-to-sit-around-the-tree-without-stressing-yourself-out/
and you’ve got until the end of the day on Saturday, December 20th, to place your orders.
We’ve got a wine tasting in the works for the more immediate Saturday, December 6th, and you can learn about it here:
https://www.eatatfeast.com/events/2025/12/new-kids-on-the-block/
We also put out the December menu by the skin of our teeth, and whilst we should have gotten the email out at the same time, if one thing had to go, better it should be the email than the menu. Today, then, let it be known, the walleye that we ran out of yesterday will have arrived by the time you get this email, and we’ll be back in the lakefish business. There are other new dishes as well, and some holdovers, but little by little, the menu is shifting to accommodate the seasons.
It gets later and later, obviously, the email I manage to eke out, partly because I’ve said yes to more than I can handle and partly because I can handle less, but nonetheless, here’s a little missive to let you know what we’ve got literally and figuratively cooking over here at Feast.
There’s the wine dinner and wine tasting above, and the new menu looks like this:

and Joey Tensley is still coming to town, so I’m letting you know that we’ve still got room for another seven or eight of you to join us for his wine dinner next Tuesday:
and with the staff a bit overwhelmed, we’ll do the best we can to handle what we’ve already committed to- namely running the restaurant and catering the events that have bottlenecked this holiday season.
We’ll start up our plan to get more food to the good people at GAP Ministries once we’ve gotten through the holidays without letting down the people we’ve already committed to. My apologies for continuing to moving our start date for that- logistics have proven themselves stronger than I am, but only for now.
We look forward to seeing you soon, and thank you for giving us a busy season.
All your buddies at Feast
