Dear Feastlings,
It’s been a spell since my high school physics class, but I’ll be doggoned if today didn’t cause me suddenly to remember learning about Brownian movement. While it was in some ways a strangely quiet morning- there was no music blaring in the kitchen when I arrived, and even conversations were low- by the time I sat down to write this, we all ended up zigzagging about to the point at which I had to close the office door to stop the pachinko game that was being played in my head long enough to dash off a note.
As it happens, the note won’t take all that long. I mostly just want to let you know about the wine tasting we’re not having this Saturday in favor of a tasting of spirits (okay, there’s an aromatized wine as well.) Our buddy Emilie, as many people do these days, works more than one job, and while we’ve tasted plenty of the wines she distributes, on Saturday, we’ll get in the Halloween spirit by tasting some Halloween Spirits from a producer in Denver called Leopold Brothers.
And with that, I wish you well, and I’ll get back to my pachinko game.
Thanks, everyone.
Your pal,
Doug
