Hello, Feastlings.
We’ve had fewer requests from people on the West side, but a few vociferous requests merits an investigation into whether we can achieve critical mass out there and make it worth it to you westsiders to order from us and to us to deliver out there. This Friday, we’ll make a run to your neighborhood and with any luck, enough of you will want food from us that we can continue to deliver out that way periodically. We’ll be posting delivery times below, and you can start ordering from the regular menu on Wednesday, April 8 for that Friday delivery. Order cutoff is the night before, Thursday the 9th, at 7:30 pm.
Here’s how it will work: You’ll call us on Thursday, April 9 for delivery to either your home ($10 delivery charge) or to one of three delivery hubs ($5 gas surcharge.) The food will all be cold, meant for you to heat up and enjoy at your convenience, so there are some dishes we wouldn’t recommend for that- the koji-rubbed chicken, for example, or the fish.
While we feel confident we can have all the food to you by 5 or 6 pm on Friday, we have no guess as to how many of you will be ordering, so please regard this as food meant to be enjoyed somewhere down the line, but not at a specific time on Friday for those getting home delivery. You’ll give us your order, your phone number, your credit card number, and, if you’re picking up at a hub, the color, make and model of the vehicle you’ll be arriving in, and the driver will give you your food. If the food is coming to your home, the driver will call you with an ETA before he or she arrives at your house. We think we’ve got a better system this time, and we’ll constantly be tinkering with it to improve our service.
The number to call is 326-9363, and the menu is here.
Here are the hubs and the times we’ll be there:
