Hello, Feastlings.
If you’ve known Feast for any length of time, you know of our fondness for wine around here. So to have a winemaker here with us a scant two weeks after another winemaker has been through town might be seen by some as overkill, but we see it as tremendous good fortune. Shortly after Varinder and Anita Sahi have returned to Paso Robles to tend their beloved vineyards, Mark Vlossak makes his way to Tucson with five St. Innocent wines in his bags, all the way from Jefferson, Oregon, in the Willamette Valley.
Where Varinder’s wines are lush and unctuous, Mark’s are lean and elegant, so if you’ve chosen to forego the Copia dinner of February because you prefer your wines on the lighter side, this is your moment. You’ll learn the personalities of the vineyards and what it is about each one that puts its stamp on the wines it produces, and Mark will have you more interested in geology and meteorology than you’ve been in for a while (full-time geologists and meteorologists excepted, of course,) and you’ll leave with a new appreciation for what the Willamette Valley brings to the glass.
If you’d like to join us, you can only make your reservation by calling us at (520) 326-9363, or making it while you’re here in person, as Resy doesn’t differentiate between the event and regular dining.
