Hello, Feastlings,
Long ago, the end-of-the-month tastings took place on Sundays. The pandemic and its ripple effect still have found us shuttered most Sundays, but on Sunday, January 25th, we’ll be hosting a benefit wine tasting for Nourish, so there’ll be two end-of-the-month tastings, both with food pairings, both special, and both worth your checking out. Nourish, if you’re unfamiliar, is a non-profit here in Tucson dedicated to helping families whose children face feeding challenges. You can find out all about the organization here:
https://www.nourishaz.org/
As for the tasting, we’ve put together four wines that, as the title implies, are difficult to get. Some are at the tail end of their supply for the current vintage, some are highly allocated, and some are library releases, but whatever the situation, the wines are special, and hard to come by. We’ll be pouring them alongside food pairings built around each wine, and the $100 price tag includes three-ounce pours, tasty snacks, an education about the wines and their producers, tax, tip and a healthy donation to Nourish, which will use the money to help wee ones as you can see at the link above.
Our pal Emilie will be here to talk about the wines, and we’ll fire up the ovens so we can make you some amuses-bouches to accompany the wines. All that’s missing is you, and you can buy your tickets here:
