Not until January 7th!

Dearest Feastlings,

Since the Saturday wine tasting would fall on New Year’s Eve and we imagine you’ve got bigger fish to fry, and since we know we’ve got an awful lot to get accomplished, we postponed the Saturday wine tasting until January 7th.  The normal rules apply: you need to make a reservation, you need to bring with you ten dollars plus tax and tip, and your reservation will have to be made the old-fashioned way, by phone, at 326-9363, as web and email reservations won’t guarantee you a place at the table.  The theme, per Kevin’s pun-riddled cranium, is “Life is a Cabernet.” I told him that he had offered that up as a theme once before, and that the only thing worse than a bad pun was hearing that bad pun twice, whereupon he proved me wrong by reciting it a third time.  Regardless of the quality of the pun, however, I can stand firmly behind the quality of the wines.  The tasting will happen here at Feast at 2:00 pm, not on December 31, but rather on January 7, and the wines are as follows:

Life is a Cabernet, old chum

2011 Sant’Elena Cabernet Franc, Venezia Giulia

2014 Line 39 Cabernet Sauvignon, California

2014 Peñalolen Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo Valley

2010 Yalumba “the Cigar” Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra
