Mostly Belgian Beer Dinner

Hello, Feastlings.

Wednesday, August 19th, we’ll have Ray Easterbrook of Diamondback with us, kicking off the evening with a German cider and following that with a host of Belgian beers.  We’ve prepared a course to go with each one and it all promises to be delicious.  Dinner is at 6:30, and there’ll be discounts on the beers, so the whole thing is very promising.  The cost? Five courses with paired beers for only $50 plus tax and gratuity.  If you’d like to join us, please call 326-9363, since web and email reservations won’t guarantee you a seat at the dinner.  The menu is as follows:

Arugula-grapefruit salad with pork belly and candied peanuts.

Possman “Pure” Apple Cider, Germany

Seared New Zealand King salmon

with tea-soaked French toast, gingered peas

and fennel-tea beurre blanc.

Gageleer Sweet Gale Ale, Belgium

Pear and butternut ravioli

with coriander-honey cream sauce.

Het Anker “Lucifer” Ale, Belgium

Braised rabbit with mushroom custard and frites.

Gouden “Carolous” Tripel Blonde Ale

Seared Provolone with drunken cherries.

Delirium Red Ale, Belgium
